On December 15th, Professor Li Ruohong, Chairman of the China World Peace Foundation and President of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, along with a delegation led by Ms. Hardiman, Austrian Cultural Counselor in China, engaged in a trilateral discussion with internationally renowned violinists, President Liu Yunzhi and Vice President Wu Zhao, at the National Center for the Performing Arts in China. Together with conductors Matthias Fletzberger and the Chief Conductor of the China National Opera, they discussed how the music worlds of China and Austria, as well as China and Europe, can promote world heritage and intangible cultural heritage by presenting a grand symphony of the mother rivers, the Yellow River and the Danube, through musical art.
The promotion of outstanding musical talents and non-profit initiatives in public medical institutions and communities, the exchange and dissemination of artistic resources between China and Europe, and close cooperation in establishing sister cities and interaction on National Day for the establishment of diplomatic relations were discussed. The three parties agreed to jointly launch a series of cultural and non-profit activities themed „55 Cities, 55 Musicians, 55 Concerts“ on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Austria. Through the „Silk Road (B.R.)“ tour of artists from both countries, they aim to build an artistic bridge for dialogue and mutual understanding between civilizations.
