Beethoven at the height of his work: For many, his Piano Concerto No. 5 is one of the greatest that this composer has created and his wonderful Violin Concerto is on the program with two very special interpreters. Maria Sotriffer, the young aspiring Austrian violinist, interprets the Violin Concerto op. 61 in D major, which was premiered in 1806. Matthias Fletzberger, regular guest of the Klosterneuburg concert series, plays Beethoven's brilliant Piano Concerto No. 5 op. 73 in E flat major "The Emperor". The Beethoven Philharmonic plays under the direction of Matthias Fletzberger.
